Our Vacation

We headed to Great Wolf Lodge in Dallas a couple of weeks ago. We wanted to take a family vacation since Chris will be leaving in a few weeks. We had a lot of fun. Great Wolf has an indoor water park and the girls enjoyed all the slides. You just never know what Hannah is going to do and like but she LOVED the big slides. We were getting lots of exercise going up the stairs to the slide. We spent every night in the lobby for storytime and learning how to howl and on the last day we discovered Cub Camp and found a friend from Abilene who was doing the face painting. Hannah's arms were covered with "tatoos'. I think both girls had a lot of fun.

Lucy's bed. She slept in a big girl bed for the first time and did great.
Hannah liked to play on the top bunk but wasn't sure about sleeping. She did sleep 2 nights up there.
Note the large bucket: It will dump TONS of water.

Happy Dance!
Chris enjoying a leisurely slide down.
Waterpark wore her out!
You can't tell but there is a bubble above her head with an aquarium.

Of course, no smile.
Watching the trains.

Happy Graduation!

Four years ago I helped Mallory move into her dorm room at Hardin Simmons University.  Her parents are teachers and had already started school and she needed some help. I was super excited to relive some college moments and help her move. Of course, it would rain that day but we had a lot of fun. I am so glad that we were able to get back to Abilene for her senior year. Her love for children is going to make her an amazing teacher.

The Abilene Reporter News caught the picture above after graduation and it made their website. So cute! We had a great time celebrating.

So proud of you Mallory!

Awana Fun

It seems like just a few months ago that I was talking to Jessica (in the green) about Awana and how I was so excited for Hannah to be apart of this awesome program. Jessica sadly told me that our church wasn't sure if we would be having Awana this year but after lots of parental support and the wonderful leadership of Drew and Lynn Dobry (far left) Awana was reunited at PDBC.
We have had a great year and over 30 kids completed their books and some even went back and reviewed the entire book before tonight. Hannah and her friends in Cubbies memorized over 24 verses.
The above picture is of Lynn, Jessica and Mallory gettied pied. Each child who completed their books got to put a pie in one of the leader's faces.
 Can't wait for next year!
