Tourist for a Day

We were very excited for Chris to get home even though it was way past Hannah's bedtime last night. Fortunately, she went right to bed after we got home around 11 and slept until 8:00 this morning. We decided to do some sightseeing so we could spend some time as a family today. We started at Mt. Rushmore. It was a little cold and wet as you can tell by our attire.

On our way

Walking in

Bundled up. Glad we went back to the house for coats

View from the top

Next, we went to Custer State Park. We bought a year pass so we will be going back. It is a lot of park to explore but it was beautiful. The sun came out which made it even better.

Tunnel made out of rock

The happy rider who did not want to take off her coat. (we were in the car a couple of hours)

Awesome view

Getting out to stretch our legs

So glad to hang out with Daddy.

So much fun but it does feel weird to see yall in coats. It is 100 degrees here.

Looks like so much fun! Brings back summer memories for me of visiting Mt. Rushmore with my family. Although it was HOT!! Enjoy your cooler weather. Tenn. is super sticky right now. :)
